Instructions for Wearing and Using Your Sling
Note: The lulujo sling is intended for use with one baby, up to 25 lbs (11.5 kg).
Always ensure the sling is tightened properly by pulling both top part and bottom part of fabric through rings until baby is snug. If the fabric is not tightened it will not feel comfortable for you or your baby.
To begin, bring the fabric (tail) through both rings from the back, then slip the tail over the top ring and through the bottom ring, pulling and adjusting it to the position you need. The lulujo baby sling can be worn on either shoulder, but preference is usually with the padded section on the right shoulder. Put one arm through the sling, slip it over your head so the shoulder pad rests on your shoulder. Depending on the age of the child, you can use the lulujo in different ways at different ages. See below examples.
Note & Recommendations: We recommend only using your sling with baby in up-right position either facing in (tummy to tummy) or facing out (Kangaroo) as pictured below. If you choose to carry your baby in a cradled position (with baby lying in the sling), ensure that you can easily see their nose and mouth at all times. Avoid any position that places her in a "chin-to-chest" position, which can potentially compromise the airway and restrict airflow.

Facing Out Position (Kangaroo):
3+ months and up, or once baby can hold its head unsupported.
Hold top edge of sling out to form a pouch (hammock). With baby's back against your chest, place baby in pouch bottom first with legs crossed (legs will naturally cross in front). Tighten the outside edge to keep baby's feet higher than bottom and pull inner edge up towards baby's neck/shoulder area. Ensure both bottom and top fabrics are tightened so that baby is snug.

Side Hip Position
3+ months and up (to 25 lbs), or once baby can hold its head unsupported.
Slip child into the pouch (hammock) and cup the lower edge of the sling under your baby's bottom, up to the back of the knees. Pull top edge up to support baby's back or neck. Ensure both bottom and top fabrics are tightened so that baby is snug.
